In July of 2008, JAPEC held its first Japan-Tasmania Cultural Exchange Program. 20
students and 2 teachers from Tasmania visited Osaka for over a week. They stayed with
registered host families and participated in a summer camp with dozens of Japanese
children.
The program was a huge success! Going forward, JAPEC will seek to further its
relationship with Australia, as well as reach out to other countries and organizations
around the world.
JAPEC is excited about its potential future opportunities for improving international
communication and friendship.
